Turtle Power Party

After 8 (long) months of planning (by Cooper), the much anticipated "Ninja Turtle Party at the Jumpy Place" finally happened!  Cooper decided on this between Christmas and New Year's last year.  He (somewhat) patiently waited until August when the big day was finally here!  Little Man was so excited have his party at "the jumpy place" and invited all his sweet friends.  He requested for days that Uncle Nicholas come and go down the slide with him.  Uncle Nicholas came, but instead of going down the slide, he wrestled with all the little ones in one of the inflatables, which made Cooper happy enough!  Daddy went down the slide with him a lot though.  I honestly think Karl had as much fun as Cooper did!  He was in and out of those inflatables, and I think I saw him come down the slide more than Cooper!
The place we had it at was pretty awesome.  They did everything...set up the decorations, ordered the pizza, took pictures, played with the children, had the plates of food ready when we went in the party room, passed out cupcakes, cleaned up...everything!  This made it nice and easy for the parents of the birthday child to sit back and relax and enjoy, but I'm not going to lie--the setting up and decorating are my favorite parts.  Cooper really wanted to have his party at this place, so we did, but as a mama who loves to prepare for and plan parties, I was kind of bummed!  However, ninja turtles is not the easiest theme to work with, so I probably wouldn't have been able to do much creative stuff with it anyway.  One day back in April (I know...haha), Cooper and I made the cupcake toppers since I figured cupcakes would be the easiest to pass out to the kids.  My friend Jesse and I (mostly Jesse) made the invitations because I couldn't find any that I really loved.  I don't have a picture to post, but I really loved the ones she created!  Then closer to party time, we went to Party City and got the stuff for the favors and put those together.  Overall, I did get to do a little cutesy stuff with it and the birthday boy was very happy!
We have lots of pictures, so I'm going to let them do the talking for this party...
It's Party Time!
Play Time!
Eat Up!
We had pizza, little bags of chips, green grapes (to stick with the color theme), and cupcakes (with lime green icing...it just looks yellowish in the pictures).
I know I say it every year, but when everyone starts singing "Happy Birthday" and I see that smitten smile on his face, I feel that lump swell in my throat and the tears rise in my eyes!  How thankful I am for these birthdays!
Present Time!
I think it's quite obvious from these pictures that Coop had an awesome time!  I hope the 8 month wait was worth it! :)
