Our little buddy was looking a little shaggy around the edges, and as he approached that 11 month birthday, it was time for his first haircut! He and Cooper were almost exactly the same age when they got their first haircuts--just shy of 11 months. We have a wonderful neighbor/friend who shares her haircutting talent with us and cuts Karl and Cooper's hair. This makes it so nice and easy, plus it gives us an excuse to hang out! I was really excited that she was cutting Jake's hair for the first time too. Something about that first cut is so special, and it makes it more special when it's in your home and one of your friends is doing it! Jake did really well getting his hair cut and only flinched when she wet his hair. We let him watch some of Cooper's ABC music videos on my phone to keep his head positioned just right. What did parents do before this awesome technology?!
